| 5 Star, Deluxe Class Historical Hotel
The hotel is located in a quiet residential area away from the hustle and bustle of the Duomo and the noisy traffic of the station, but still in central Florence. There is a large piazza in front of the hotel making it easy to find.
The rooms are very nicely kept, luxurious and containing every comfort possible. The hotel does have an annexe where approximately a third of the hotel's rooms are located. The hotel boasts one of the finest restaurants in Florence. It is very popular with VIPs coming to Florence for business, regal or state occasions.
This building is older than most of those in the square, built around the 19th century. It is a very impressive, regal looking building giving the impression that it was formerly an aristocratic home perhaps for one of Florence's many rich noble families.
The lobby is incredibly luxurious even if slightly smaller than one would expect. The combination of soft red carpets and subdued lighting from antique lamps, offer a relaxed and very homely atmosphere. There is a bar situated at one end of the reception area, serving a variety of drinks and snacks.
This is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Florence. |
